Since 2017, Gregor Kugelmann is responsible for the system development of driver assistance systems for all Mercedes Benz passenger cars.
After studying mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Mr. Kugelmann joined the Porsche AG in 1995 as a chassis development engineer.
Two years later he changed to the BMW Group in Munich, again in the pre- and series development for chassis systems, esp. steering and drive by wire systems.
Heading for new opportunities at Daimler AG in Sindelfingen in 2002 starting as a manager for vehicle pre development and ShowCars. From 2006 until 2014 he was responsible for building up the Mercedes Module Strategy.
From 2013 until 2017 Gregor Kugelmann was head of the development of steering systems for all Mercedes Benz passenger cars.
